Come break tortilla with us!

We’ve overheard enough people saying our taco tour in Mexico City was the most memorable experience they had, and we actually believe them (seriously!).

Our tour will take you into the heart and soul of Mexico City’s food scene, led by your very own local Taco Mensch. We know the newest spots, the best kept secrets, and we love sharing the city with our guests.

This is a a small, intimate walking tour that pairs culinary history with delicious bites, by blending hands-on food experiences with cultural stories and neighborhood charm.

We start the day in an organic and fair trade tortillería where you can watch the process of making tortillas from scratch. You’ll learn how maíz turns into a tortilla through an age-old technique of processing the corn called nixtamal. It’s here where you’ll take your first bite.

Then we get elemental, exploring the essential ingredients for Mexican cuisine at a local market. As we take in the smells and textures of the market, we’ll sample mole and try another taco. From there, we continue on an eating-walking tour through the charming Condesa and Roma neighborhoods, tasting various authentic regional tacos — including the king of all tacos, the al pastor — from across Mexico and taking in their history. We’ll hydrate with cold beers and agua fresca along the way.

Our tour wouldn’t be complete without something sweet, so we’ll head to a chocolate and pastry shop owned by one of Latin America's top pastry chefs. Here, we’ll sample delicious confections with a bit of coffee.
